Powder
Powder is given orally and can be mixed with food, liquid or hidden in a treat.
- Dogs up to 10kg of body weight - ½ teaspoon
- 11-20kg - ¾ level teaspoon
- 21-30kg - 1 level teaspoon
- 31-40kg - 1 ¼ level teaspoons
- 41-50kg - 1 ½ level teaspoons
Start on half the dose for the first week then follow the directions on the label.
Capsules
Each Capsule contains no less than 250mg of active constituents.
- Dogs up to 5kg of body weight - 2 Capsules
- 6-10kg - 4 Capsules
- 11-20kg - 6 Capsules
- 21-30kg - 10 Capsules
- 31-40kg - 12 Capsules
Why Sasha’s Blend Works
Sasha's Blend contains three recognised activities associated with maintaining joint function:
- long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids
- the glycogen fraction
- an anti-inflammatory peptide.
The lipid glycogen and peptide associated activities in Sasha's Blend promote joint mobility and can be taken long-term without any adverse side effects (safety data trial).
Sasha’s Blend is also a rich source of (GAGS) glucosamine, chondroitin sulphate and heparin sulphate. Together these active ingredients yield sugars and amino acids that are thought to provide the building blocks required for enhanced glycosaminoglycan production in the body.
The natural synergistic effect of the combination of natural actives in Sasha’s Blend and the method of processing is what achieves outstanding results.
NSAIDS (Non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs)
When used short-term NSAIDS can be very helpful. They can quickly relieve pain and inflammation. They can however also mask the osteoarthritis symptoms and the disease process continues. There are indications that prolonged use of some NSAIDS can also trigger side effects as the blocking of prostaglandins (the substances that cause the pain and inflammation responses) also interferes with the role prostaglandins play in other vital body activities.
Sasha’s Blend is an ideal complimentary product and can be prescribed in conjunction with, or as a follow on from NSAID’s. Clinical trials show that the actives in NZ Green Lipped Mussel (a main ingredient in Sasha's Blend) contain gastroprotective properties and when used in conjunction with NSAID’s may reduce the risk of side effects such as gut ulceration that may be caused by long-term use of NSAID's.
Sasha’s Blend may also be used as a stand-alone alternative.
Is it safe?
Sasha's Blend is not a synthetic drug. Safety trials show that Sacha's Blend can be taken long term with no known side effects. It can safely be given to dogs and cats and is safe to use in conjunction with other medications. It is not recommended for use in preganant animals.
Do not give to animals with an allergy to seafood.
Composition
100% pure and natural with no additives or fillers. The active constituents in Sasha's Blend are Perna Canaliculus, Haliotis Iris and Shark Cartilage. Containing a minimum of 14% glycosaminoglycans as well as amino acids, essential fatty acids, anti oxidants and a wide range of vitamins and minerals, Sasha's Blend acts as a potent tonic, toning up the whole body, conditioning the coat and providing an energy boost.
